Packaging of the Product
In a slight overstatement, one could say, that proper packaging of the final product, be it a simple vase by Moser or an intricate bespoke light installation by Lasvit, is the most important part of the whole process and the best way to honor the artist’s work. In a good firm, everything is preceded by careful revision of the product in order to detect and eliminate any faults, whether aesthetic or functional. Soft, elastic and pliable materials are used to shelter the glass inside the box, in order to prevent any damage during handling in expedition. The product should be protected in a way that even an accidental toss of the box would leave the glass unharmed. Smaller glass objects are usually placed in paper boxes, larger ones in wooden boxes. The box is then marked and dispatched to the customer.
